Man killed in Hodeida landmine blast

HODEIDA, Jan. 03 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Tuesday as a result of a landmine explosion left by the Saudi-led coalition forces in al-Tuhaita district of Hodeida province.

Executive Center for Mine Action stated in a statement that two citizen have been killed and three others wounded, including children, since the beginning of the new year, as a result of war remnants in various provinces.

The statement pointed out that the threat of war remnants is still lurking with new victims, due to the wide scope of contamination, the excessive use of cluster bombs, and the lack of mine detectors.
