UAE-funded leader sends message to threaten Radfan tribes

ADEN, Jan. 03 (YPA) – A leader of the UAE-backed militias sent on Tuesday a threatening message to Radfan tribes in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Local sources said that the review of Mukhtar Al-Nubi, the leader in Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia, of dozens of military vehicles and vehicles under the so-called “launch of the new training year came to threat the uprising of the Radfan tribes, which called on recruits of Fifth Brigade to leave, after executing a member of Radfan named Majid Rushdeh al-Halmi.

Early last December, the Fifth Brigade militia, led by Al-Nubi, executed al-Halmi, who belonged to the Radfan tribe, with his hands tied, in the area of al-Samh al-Halimin, without any legal formulation or judicial trial.

Angry protests erupted by the people of Radfan following the heinous execution of al-Halmi, demanding the exit of the STC militia from all areas of Radfan, amid their demands to hand over al-Nubi and his elements who executed al-Halmi in his area.
