Sayyed Nasrallah: American project in region aims at control of oil wealth

SANAA, Jan. 03 (YPA) – Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of the Lebanese Party, confirmed on Tuesday that the American project in the region aims at hegemony and seizure of the region’s wealth of oil and gas.

This came in a speech he made on the occasion of the annual anniversary of the martyrdom of the two leaders, Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.

“September 11th gave impetus to the American project to enter Afghanistan and Iraq and get close to Iran and Syria, and for hegemony and seizing the region’s wealth of oil and gas,” Sayyed Nasrallah said.

He stated that what happened in the Arab world, starting with Tunisia and ending with Syria, had frightened even America’s allies, and the Americans bet on it to destroy countries.
Nasrallah indicated that Syria and Iran have been withstood to the American pressures, and the Iraqi resistance carried out excellent operations against the American forces.

He said: “Those who launched the resistance in Iraq are the Iraqi factions and currents, and Soleimani provided training and planning alongside Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, adding that if there were no Soleimani and Mughniyeh, America would have occupied the region.”

“Unfortunately, some people imagine that the national forces and resistance movements are affiliated with Iran, but the truth is the opposite,” Nasrallah noted.
