STC threatens with attacking Islah camps in Sayoun, latter prepares for confrontation

HADRAMOUT, Nov. 30 (YPA) – The UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) threatened with confronting the “First Military Region” forces affiliated with Islah Party and expel them from the districts of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

Nasser Al-Khobaji, member of the STC’s presidency, said in tweets on Twitter that “controlling Hadramout and Mahra provinces is just a matter of time,” after what he called “victories over terrorism in Abyan and Shabwa provinces”

He added “Abyan will remain defiant against all the conspiracies hatched against it, after achieving victories, against the hotbed of terrorism and politicized terrorist organizations.”

This comes after hundreds of STC supporters celebrated the 55th anniversary of the evacuation on November 30, 1967, in Abyan province, after they were prevented by Saudi forces from celebrating in the city of Aden.

On the other hand, the “First Military Region” affiliated with the Islah party announced combat readiness by deploying armored vehicles and military vehicles in the contact lines with the STC militia in Hadramout valley.

This comes in conjunction with the arrival of military leaders loyal to the UAE from Dhalea and Yafea areas on Tuesday to the city of Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout province.
