Pro-coalition leader survives assassination attempt in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 30 (YPA) – A leader in the UAE-funded “Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia was subjected to an assassination attempt in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Local sources in the province confirmed the commander of the so-called security belt belonging the STC, Nasser Sheikh al-Saeedi, survived an assassination attempt with an explosive device while he was passing by the main road linking Duthaina and Mudia.

This came after the targeting of two vehicles of the “Security Belt” militia, funded by the UAE, in Al-Mahfad area in the same province earlier in the day, leaving dead and wounded, in addition to one of the vehicles was damaged.
