Shipment of non-standard drinks destroyed in Dhamar

DHAMAR, Nov. 23 (YPA) – The Yemeni authority for Standardization, Metrology and quality control destroyed on Wednesday a shipment of drinks for violating the approved standard specifications.

The Yemeni authority for standardization reported in its communication that the shipment of Egyptian-origin orange drink was destroyed at Dhamar Control Center due to an increase in the validity period beyond the limit allowed in the approved standard.

 The authority called on all manufacturers, producers and importers to adhere to the approved standard specifications in order to preserve consumer health and safety, stressing that it will not hesitate to fulfill its duty and role in taking the necessary legal measures against all violators.
