GPC Member: Al-Barakani refused to lift sanctions on Ahmed Affash, involved in looting billion dollars with Hadi
CAIRO, Nov. 17 (YPA) – A leader in the General People’s Congress (GPC), loyal to the UAE, said the speaker of the House of Representatives loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, objected to lift international sanctions on Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh
The head of the GPC’s bloc in the pro-Saudi parliament, Ali Al-Lahbi, said during an interview with the Yemen Today channel, based in Egypt, that Sultan Al-Barakani refused to send a letter to the United Nations demanding the lifting of sanctions on Ahmed Ali.
He added: “Al-Barakani who demanded the removal of the counter during Saleh’s rule, refuses today to lift the sanctions on Saleh and Ahmed Ali.”
“Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi embezzled nearly a billion dollars from the Saudi deposit and spent it through his son Nasser,” he said, adding that they get rid of documents in the Central Bank in Aden through burning them in order to to hide it, but there is evidence to incriminate Al-Barakani.
On the role of the House of Representatives, which is loyal to the coalition, Al-Lahbi said that it is just a group in the “WhatsApp” program in which whoever talks about the Council is removed by Al-Barakani.
He affirmed that the GPC in Sanaa is recognized and below it only represents people.
