Violent clashes erupt among coalition factions in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 17 (YPA) – Violent clashes erupted on Thursday among the Saudi-led coalition factions in the center of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources reported that the confrontations happened between the so-called “Security Belt” militia and members of the People’s Police, affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council”, because of the sale of smuggled oil derivatives.

The sources confirmed that the clashes left a number of wounded, and caused heavy damage to citizens’ property, including cars and residential buildings.

The situation is still tense between the “STC” militia, amidst the dispatch of reinforcements by the Aden Security Department, the sources said.
