ADEN, Oct. 29 (YPA) – Tariq Affash, the commander of the so-called the Guardians of the Republic, succeeded in strangling the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in downtown Aden by attracting thousands of people from the southern governorates and recruiting them in his camps in Mocha, west of Taiz province.
Political analyst Sami Harubi affirmed that “Affash” succeeded in attracting about 3,000 from Abyan’s people to Mocha, and enrolled them in the camps of the so-called “Guardians of the Republic”, indicating that the last batch of them was during the past days.
Harubi explained in tweets on Saturday that Tariq Affash knows where its bread is buttered, noting that he was following the same policy as his uncle, former President Ali Afash.
“Tariq knows how important Abyan is and its strategic location, and today the province is present in attracting a large segment of Abyan’s people when they were marginalized by other parties and political components,” he said, referring to the regional marginalization of Abyan by the “STC.”
The UAE seeks to dwarf the “ STC” through the people of the southern governorates loyal to Tariq Afash, thousands of whom have been attracted to the camps of Mocha, especially the sons of Radfan and Sabiha in Lahj, Abyan and Shabwa.
Saleh Affash was able to storm the city of Aden in the summer war of 1994, through the sons of Abyan and Shabwa, which some political analysts consider the war in that period in response to the events of 1986, which returned the sons of Abyan to power, so that the “Southern Transitional Council” deals with them at the moment with a blatantly regional racism and excludes them from all military and civilian positions.
