Saudi Arabia threatens to bomb Islah militants in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 16 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia accused on Sunday the Islah party of being behind the setting up of the sit-in tents near its southern border with the Yemeni province of Jawf, threatens to a harsh response to what it described as kingdom’s serious reform threats.

This came at a time when some of Jawf tribesmen set up a sit-in camp near the border fence in the province, in protest against the arrest of Sheikh Amin Al-Akimi by the Saudi authorities.

Journalist Salman Askar, close to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, told the Saudi Al-Ekhbariya TV, the Islah party has become a real threat to the security and stability of the kingdom.

“The only option before the Saudi-led coalition is to get rid of these terrorist formations,” added Salman, in a clear reference to the bombing of the Islah factions stationed in Marib and the border areas and those affiliated with the party.

The Saudi threats came, in light of the intensification of differences between Saudi Arabia and its first agent in its war on Yemen, after years of fighting Islah on its side.
