ADEN, Oct. 11 (YPA) -Rashad Al-Alimi , the so-called “president” of the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, has issued a decision to dismiss of Amin Al-Okimi, the most prominent leader in the Islah Party, from the post of Governor of Jawf governorate, months after he had already been placed under house arrest in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Alimi, at Saudi Arabia’s behest, issued a decision to appoint Hussein al-Ajji Ali al-Awadhi as the new governor of Jawf, as part of a plan to uproot the Islah Party from the remaining areas in the border province, after the Yemeni army forces and Popular Committees loyal to the National Salvation Governmenr in Sana’a took control over most areas of Jawf.
He also issued a decision appointing Brigadier General Mohammed Abdu Mohammad al-Ashwal as commander of the so-called “Jawf axis”, a position that was also previously held by al-Okimi.
