Al-Houthi hails Armed Forces’ major victory on Yemen’s western coast

SANAA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi hailed the Yemeni Armed Forces’ “Allah Is Stronger in Might and Stronger in Punishment” operation, describing its outcome as a major victory and an exercise of Yemen’s sovereignty.

In a statement to Al-Masirah TV, Mohammed al-Houthi said the liberation of parts of Yemen is a popular right and part of the revolution’s stated goal of freedom and independence.

 

Addressing international maritime navigation, he confirmed transit remains open to all commercial vessels, except for specific ships designated by the Ministry of Defense.

Al-Houthi reiterated that passage for restricted vessels will remain blocked until the embargo and blockade against Yemen are fully lifted, in line with previous defense ministry directives.

He warned that any folly committed against Yemen would be confronted, even if its repercussions extended globally, stressing that the region is on a hotplate and that those who choose to ignite the situation must bear the consequences.

Al-Houthi’s remarks come following major Yemeni Armed Forces advances along the western coast, where a large-scale operation resulted in the liberation of several districts in Hodeida and Taiz.
