WORLD, Oct. 11 (YPA) – Acting Prime Minister of Sweden Magdalena Andersson has said that Stockholm has no intention of allowing Moscow to participate in the investigation into the Nord Stream gas pipeline sabotage.
“Preliminary investigations in Sweden are confidential, and that obviously also applies in this case,” Anderson was quoted by AFP as saying on Monday.
According to her, the incidents on the gas pipelines, which the Swedish Security Service considers explosions, occurred in the country’s exclusive economic zone, but not in its territorial waters.
Earlier, the Russian Embassy in Stockholm confirmed that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin had submitted a request to Anderson for Russia’s participation in the investigation into the terrorist attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod announced his government’s intention to reject Russia’s participation in the investigation into the attack on the “Northern Stream” and to identify those responsible.
