SANAA, Sept. 04 (YPA) – Members of so-called “Shabwa Defense” militia backed by the UAE continue to detain fuel tankers in Marib province for the third day in a row.
Local sources stated that the Shabwa governor, Awad bin al-Wazir al-Awlaki, loyal to the UAE, refused to open the way for private tankers in Al-Saeid area junction, in response to the detention of Abaida tribes in Marib fuel tankers for the electricity of Shabwa, last month.
The UAE is seeking to transfer the confrontation with Islah from Shabwa to the city of Marib and Wadi Abaida, which paves the way for a tribal conflict between the tribes of the two provinces.
