Ethiopian Prime Minister begins official visit to Algeria

WORLD, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed began a two-day official visit to Algeria, in a move that was not announced before his arrival.

In a statement by the Algerian government, which it published on its Facebook page, Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Ben Abdel Rahman received his Ethiopian counterpart at Houari Boumediene International Airport in Algiers.

The statement said, “Prime Minister Ayman bin Abdul Rahman received Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who is arriving in Algeria for a two-day official visit,” without providing further details.

The visit was not announced before Abi Ahmed arrived in Algeria, but it comes in the midst of a new impetus for bilateral relations between Algeria and Ethiopia.
