Sanaa delegation arrives in Moscow

SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – Head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, arrived on Wednesday in the Russian capital, Moscow.

Abdul-Salam, during a visit, met with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, in a step revealed the extent of development of the political relations between Sanaa government and Moscow.

The meeting emphasized paying attention to the prospects of achieving a comprehensive peaceful settlement of the war on Yemen and addressing the humanitarian file.

The visit takes important dimensions in light of the UN truce that Yemen is coexisting with, in addition to the sensitive conditions witnessed by the international community due to the events in Ukraine.

It is widely believed that Moscow needs to keep the windows open to all possibilities, based on fears that Russia may be subjected to sudden stab by increasing oil production by Saudi Arabia in response to American desires, which may prompt Moscow to conduct more coordination with the Sanaa government in a way that guarantees the interests of both parties.
