UAE sends senior leader to stop confrontations in Shabwa

SHABWA, Aug. 09 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition’s command sent on Tuesday one of the leaders of Al-Amaliqa Brigades on a Saudi plane, to the city of Ataq, the Shabwa provincial capital.

Head of the Center for Political Studies, Khaled Al-Shamiri, who resides in the UAE, confirmed that the commander of the “Second Al-Amaliqa Brigade”, Hamdi Shukri Al-Subaihi, was assigned on a private plane to stop the confrontations between the UAE-backed militia, the Special Forces militants, led by Abd Rabbo Lakab, loyal to the Saudi-funded ISlah Party.

Al-Shamiri said on Twitter that Al-Subaihi expected to arrive in Ataq city to resolve the battle and put an end to all the protagonists who lost their interests.

The UAE used the leader Al-Subaihi to stop the confrontations in Aden, after the armed forces of the Special Forces advanced to control the various military points of the UAE-funded Shabwa Defense forces, which were suffered heavy losses in equipment.
