ABYAN, Aug. 02 (YPA) – Yemeni citizens on Monday condemned the rise in checkpoints in Abyan province, southern Yemen.
A number of residents of the province said in posts on social media platforms, that dozens of checkpoints scattered in the roads of “Al-Alam – Al-Mahfad _ Ahwar “, impose heavy fees on truck drivers and mass transit buses.
A number of travelers denounced the imposition of levies on individuals by the Saudi-led coalition factions, noting that the value of these levies per person amounts to 1,000 riyals.
The revelations coincide with the escalation of looting and killings on roads across coalition factions held provinces.
