Military officer loyal to Tariq Saleh killed in Taiz

TAIZ, Jul. 13 (YPA) – A military commander in Tariq Saleh militia was killed on Wednesday in mysterious circumstances in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, local sources said.

 According to the local sources, Tawfeeq Mohammed Abdo Salem al-A’alqami, military officer in the so-called “Guards of the Republic” led by Tarek Saleh in the west coast, was assassinated while participating in the wedding  party of his friend in the Al-Shamayatin District.

 The sources pointed out that the wedding witnessed shooting in the air before he fell to the ground.

Two of al-A’alqami’s companions were injured as well in the incident, the sources added.

No further details about the incident were given.
