Red Sea Fisheries Authority condemns displacing families from Abd Al Kuri Island

SOCOTRA, Jul.02 (YPA) -The Red Sea Fisheries Authority  condemned the forced displacement of the residents of Abd al Kuri Island by the countries of Saudi-led coalition, expelling them from their homes and displacing them to other places.

In a statement to Saba news Agency, it explained that the displacement of the people of this Yemeni island is a prelude to militarizing it and turning it into an Emirati military base subject to the American-Zionist project.

The statement held the UN Security Council, the United Nations and its human rights organizations responsible for what is happening on Abd al Kuri Island, which is one of the most important islands of the Socotra archipelago.

The statement appealed to UNESCO and environmental protection organizations to carry out their duties regarding the destruction of the natural and marine environment on the island of Socotra, and the looting of rare trees, listed on the World Heritage List.

It demanded the exit of the forces of the aggression from all Yemeni lands, islands and coasts, ending the forced displacement of the population.
