Iran announces date for resumption of nuclear negotiations in one of GCC countries

TEHRAN, Jun. 27 (YPA) – Iran said on Monday that the nuclear negotiations will resume this week.

In his weekly press conference, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said: “Negotiations will resume this week, and we will announce their location and timing in the coming hours, which are almost specific, and they will take place in one of the Gulf countries.”

He continued, “We will not discuss technical matters in the negotiations, and no topic will be added to what was agreed upon in Vienna, and we will negotiate on a few outstanding and contentious issues.”

Khatibzadeh noted that what Washington says contradicts its actions, and “we will continue negotiations without trusting the opposing party.”

“The biggest guarantee that we have is our own capabilities, and the other side knows that we can take great steps, and if we do not do them immediately, it is because we do not want,” Khatibzadeh added. “Of course, we seek guarantees from the other party.”
