Netanyahu worried ICC could issue arrest warrant against him

WORLD, April 28 (YPA) – Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is deeply concerned about the possibility of the International Criminal Court in The Hague issuing an arrest warrant against him for “the military operation in the Gaza Strip, Israeli media outlets reported.

According to “Maariv” newspaper, Netanyahu has made significant efforts in recent days to prevent such a development. It is alleged that he held numerous phone conversations in an attempt to achieve any positive outcome on this issue, including indirect pressure on US President Joe Biden.

It may only be a matter of time before the International Criminal Court issues an arrest warrant against Netanyahu, according to the paper.

Additionally, in light of the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip, the court in The Hague may also place Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi on the wanted list.

Netanyahu issued a statement last Thursday regarding the potential actions of the International Criminal Court against Israel, stating that he would not allow any attempts by this body to “undermine Israel’s inherent right to self-defense.”

It’s worth mentioning that Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed deep concern about the possibility of the International Criminal Court issuing an arrest warrant against him for his involvement in the military operation in the Gaza Strip.

He has reportedly made significant efforts, including talks with various parties, to prevent this from happening.

There are also concerns that other Israeli officials could be targeted by the court. Netanyahu has emphasized Israel’s right to self-defense and stated that he will not allow any attempts to undermine it.
