QUDS, April 28 (YPA) – Dozens of Zionist settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, under the protection of Israeli occupation police, on the sixth day of the Jewish Passover holiday.
Palestinian sources reported that about 400 settlers “stormed the courtyards of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police, coinciding with the Jewish Passover holiday.
They carried out provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.
Israeli occupation police also tightened their military measures at the entrances to the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli authorities exploit Jewish holidays and occasions to tighten restrictions on Palestinian citizens and impose collective punishment on them.
They do this by closing checkpoints, tightening military measures, and obstructing the movement of Palestinians, preventing them from accessing holy sites.
Meanwhile, they facilitate attacks by settlers on Palestinian cities, Islamic and historical sites in the West Bank, especially the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
