Body of young man found murdered in auto repair workshop in Marib

TAIZ, Aug. 10 (YPA) – A young Yemeni man from Taiz was found murdered inside his auto repair workshop in Marib’s Al-Wadi district, an area controlled by Islah forces loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, local sources reported.

The victim, identified as Saleem Ahmed Maqbal, a resident of Al-Misrakh district in Taiz, was found dead in his automobile repair shop in Qamad Market along Safer Road after nearby residents reported a strong foul odor coming from the premises.

According to the sources, Saleem, who worked as a car body repairman, suffered multiple fatal stab wounds, and his head was crushed with bricks and stones. The perpetrators also burned his face using an oxygen torch, highlighting the extreme brutality of the attack.

His body was wrapped in a blanket and buried beneath rubble inside the workshop, which is situated across from the Bin Mahtam fuel station. The workshop door had been locked shut following the killing. Residents suspect that one of Saleem’s friends may have been involved in the crime.

The Al-Wadi district in Marib, controlled by Islah factions and elements linked to Al-Qaeda, is currently facing unprecedented security chaos, with a surge in assassinations and criminal activities that continues to destabilize the region.
