Rights groups accuse French arms manufacturers of involvement in Yemen war crimes

SANAA, June. 02 (YPA) – Three non-governmental organizations accused on Thursday the French arms manufacturers of involvement in war crimes in Yemen.

The organizations said they had filed a lawsuit in a Paris court against three major French arms producers were complicity in war crimes in Yemen after selling arms to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

The lawsuit filed by the organizations, including the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, Mwatana for Human Rights and Sherpa International, came at a time when the country is witnessing a truce, which, between the Saudi-led coalition and the Sanaa government, has been happened since 2016.

The French prosecutor had already looking into similar lawsuits filed against Abu Dhabi Crown Prince “Mohammed bin Zayed “, Saudi Crown Prince “Mohammed bin Salman” and the French customs authority.
