HODEIDA, May 30 (YPA) – The Yemeni Petroleum Company in Sanaa announced on Monday that the Saudi-led coalition detained a new oil ship and prevented it from reaching the Yemeni port of Hodeida province.
The company’s spokesman, Issam Al-Mutawakel, said on Twitter that the ship, Sundus, carrying 29,454 tons of fule, was seized despite its inspection and obtaining entry permits by the United Nations.
“The coalition is still practicing piracy on fuel ships, in a flagrant violation of the UN-brokered humanitarian and military truce.”
He called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to pressure the coalition to abide by the declared truce and to stop detaining oil derivatives ships, as they have a humanitarian character.
