“The Southern Movement” accuses pro-coalition government of deceiving employees

ADEN, July 23 (YPA) – The Southern Movement “accused the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition of misleading employees in Aden and other southern provinces regarding the payment of June salaries.

Abdulrahman Al-Wali, a prominent politician in the movement and an academic at the University of Aden, said in a post he published on the X platform, monitored by the agency on Wednesday, that the authorities affiliated with the pro-coalition government and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) are resorting to lies and evasion towards the people, while the fate of the June salaries remains unknown.

Al-Wali pointed out that the opening of the Aden refineries has been repeated repeatedly without achieving any tangible progress and sarcastically stated that the fight against corruption is being conducted on the “Waq Waq Islands” instead of addressing the real problems within.

He also criticized media professionals and activists in Aden and the south, describing them as “disputants and sycophants” who receive large sums of money, even though the reality reflects a completely different picture.
