Unidentified attackers assassinate officer in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 24 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen assassinated an officer of the Hadrami Elite miliais baked by the UAE in Wadi Hadramout.

According to tribal sources, the militants ambushed the officer, Mohammed Salem Bagaresh, and killed him immediately.

The assassination of Bagarach came in light of the escalation of the conflict between Saudi-backed Islah militants and the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council militias,” which seek to expel Islah militants from the oil-rich Hadramout.
