Russian Defense Ministry announces destruction of Ukrainian air bases

MOSCOW, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, in a statement on Thursday, that its military forces managed to put the Ukrainian air defenses out of service.

The Russian ministry indicated that the Ukrainian border guards did not show any resistance to the Russian units.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense had announced the targeting of military infrastructure, air defense facilities, military airports and the aviation of the Ukrainian army with high-precision weapons.

The ministry said in a statement that “the Russian armed forces do not carry out any missile, air or artillery strikes on the cities of Ukraine.”
