Russian FM: Moscow rejects aggressive rhetoric fueled by Washington

SANAA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergeĭ Lavrov, told Tuesday his US counterpart, Antony Blinken, Moscow’s rejection of the aggressive rhetoric fueled by Washington and its allies over the Ukraine crisis.

The “Russia Today” website quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement, saying: “Lavrov stressed the need to continue joint work on the basis of the agreement concluded between Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and his US counterpart, Joe Biden, on February 12, in the context of the responses provided by Washington.”

Lavrov called for “a practical dialogue on the full range of issues raised by Russia, with a focus on the principle of integrated and indivisible security in Europe.”

The statement indicated that “the two ministers also discussed the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels.”
