MAHRA, Feb. 15 (YPA) – Egyptian forces have arrived at the airport in Al-Ghaydah city, the capital of Al-Mahra province, in eastern Yemen, according to sources familiar with the matter.
Journalist Anis Mansour, head of the Hana Aden Center for Studies, said on Twitter: “Egyptian forces have arrived at Al-Ghaydah Airport in Mahra province,” without specifying the means of transportation to the airport.
Mansour, who is loyal to the Saudi-backed Islah party, added that “there are other forces on board a ship on its way to the port of Nishtun in Mahra, located on the Arabian Sea.”
This came after the arrival of a ship carrying 80 containers of weapons to the port of Nishtun last week, which was emptied and detained at the Ataq command axis of the Saudi-led coalition.
It was said that it belongs to the leader of the Islah party, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar.
