Car bomb explodes in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 15 (YPA) – A car bomb was exploded on Tuesday in Marib province, east of Yemen, local sources said.

The sources reported that the explosion happened near the Bin Ma’ili station, located on the international road linking Sefer-Al-Abr area.

The sources explained that the car bomb exploded while military trucks belonging to the coalition were on their way to the city of Marib, without causing any human losses.

Local media outlets reported accusations made by the Minister of Defense in the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government,” Mohammed al-Maqdashi, to the Chief of Staff, Saghir bin Aziz, olyal to the UAE, of creating a plot to strike what he called the “legitimacy” forces.

The sources affirmed that Al-Maqdashi alluded to bin Aziz’s involvement in the continuous infiltration of the Islah party’s gunmen, the source of which were spy rooms belonging to the “Chief of Staff”, after the arrest of a spy cell, which it said was directly affiliated with bin Aziz.

The explosion came after the press conference held by the “Hadi Information Minister Muammar al-Eryani, with bin Aziz, on Monday in the city of Marib, without the presence of the military and local leaders of Islah in the conference activities.
