Federal Supreme Court decides that Barham Salih continues as President of Iraq

BAGHDAD, Feb. 14 (YPA) – The Federal Supreme Court decided on Sunday that  Barham Salih, President of the Republic will continue to perform his duties until the election of a President of the Republic of Iraq.

The court decision came after the cancellation of Zebari’s candidacy for the presidency of the republic for not fulfilling the conditions for nomination stipulated in the country’s constitution.
