Statement of League of Arab States does not express Arab peoples: Yemen’s FM

SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa, Hisham Sharaf, said a statement issued by “the League of Arab States is paid and does not express the Arab peoples, not even the Arab regimes.”

The minister told Al Masirah TV that the Arab League has lost its legitimacy and value and died in the Arab conscience for at least 40 years, adding that no one in our Arab world trusts the League about its statements.

Minister Sharaf pointed out that the UAE’s resort to a miserable and illegitimate entity such as the Arab League reflects the extent of its bankruptcy and the deadly isolation experienced by the Saudi-led coalition countries.

“The request to designate an authentic Yemeni party representing the vast majority of the Yemeni people as terrorism is absurd and miserable step, and reflects stupidity and compound ignorance of the Yemeni reality.”

He said that the grievances of the Yemeni people are now greater than being overlooked or jumped, and greater than all attempts to obscure and mislead.

He added: We express the Yemeni people’s rejection of all attempts to reduce its natural and legitimate right to self-defense.
