4 Al-Qaeda militants sentenced to death in Sanaa

SANAA, Jan. 04 (YPA) – A criminal court in Sanaa sentenced on Tuesday 4 al-Qaeda members to death penalty and imprisoned 5 others to 10 years.

In a session, headed by the Judge Ibrahim Al-Azani, accused the arrested of trying to attack the government complex, the security department in the Al-Adeen district and to loot the Central Bank branch, as well as equipment, including vehicles, weapons belonging to the state were seized by force of arms, including crews and weapons.

The court accused also the convicts of carrying out explosions in the cultural center hall in Ibb, killing 27 people and wounding 43 others.
