TUNIS, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Tunisian President Kais Saied assigned Wednesday Najla Bouden Ramadan to form the government, in an unprecedented decision in the history of the state.
In a statement published on its Facebook page, the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia confirmed that President Saied had assigned Najla Bouden Ramadan to form a government, providing that this be done as soon as possible, according to the provisions of Presidential Ordinance No. 2021-117 dated September 22, 2021, relating to exceptional measures.
Najla Bouden will become the first woman to head the government in the history of Tunisia.
While receiving Bouden in his office, Saied expressed his aspiration to work with her to eradicate corruption and “the chaos that pervaded the state in many institutions.”
