SANAA, Sept. 06 (YPA) – An American organization called on the American envoy to Yemen to work for the end of the war and lift siege imposed on Yemen.
The American “Women for Peace” organization considered that the US-backed Saudi-led coalition has imposed a brutal blockade on the oil derivatives of the Yemeni people, a continuation of an air, land and sea blockade since the beginning of the war.
It stressed that the blockade imposed on the oil derivatives to enter the country has led the cessation of the delivery of food and humanitarian aid, and to the interruption of electricity to homes, hospitals and vital facilities.
According to a report issued by the World Food Program, over than 400,000 Yemeni children will die of malnutrition by the end of this year.
The organization called on the U.S. Special Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking to use his position to pressure Saudi Arabia to lift the blockade completely and allow fuel ships to enter to the country.
While the US envoy plans to visit Saudi Arabia this month, the organization expressed the hope he would use his political influence on Saudi Arabia to end the war on Yemen.
It called on Lenderking to apologize for his statements claiming that oil ships are flowing to Yemen, demanding him to stop lying and falsifying political facts related to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
