Saudi Arabia: Rates of murder, theft, drug smuggling have risen

SANAA, Jul. 25 (YPA) – The Saudi authorities said that a shooting incident in the Eastern Province killed two people and wounded three others.

The General Security account, on Twitter, stated that the security authorities arrested the parties involved in the incident, while the identities of the dead were not yet clear.

The high rates of murder, theft and drug smuggling have sparked widespread anger in the Kingdom, which has transformed remarkably during the years of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s rule.

On a daily basis, the Kingdom witnesses murder, theft, harassment and shooting, without fear of the regime or its security forces.

According to Saudi Leaks, the Saudi regime is responsible for these crimes through its direct and indirect policies.

The regime resorted to low salaries and government taxes, in addition to having one million employees below the poverty line.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bears full responsibility for the high unemployment rates and their unprecedented numbers, in addition to his restriction to the activities of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice.

Princes from the House of Saud also activate drug smuggling networks in society and among young people.

In addition, the authority is responsible for the citizen’s feeling of oppression, injustice and weakness, and it is also responsible for transforming the job of the security men to protect it instead of protecting the citizens.

The corruption of the judiciary and the media reflected negatively on citizens who no longer had confidence in the Kingdom’s institutions.

Finally, the weakness of the security apparatus and its lack of follow-up to the killings, thefts, and the prosecution of criminal gangs pushed the citizens to realize their rights in their own hands.

Recently, an international study reflected the extent of repression and terrorism inside the Kingdom, which has become notorious for the past years with killing, bloodshed, arrests and forced displacement of Saudi tribes in favor of fake projects due to the crimes of the Al Saud regime.

A study issued by the Australian Institute of Economics and Peace (IEP) revealed that Qatar topped the list of the safest and most secure Gulf countries, while the Kingdom ranked last at the bottom of the Gulf list.

The Kingdom came at the bottom of the ranking at the level of the Gulf, after it ranked 128 globally.

The study described the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region as the least peaceful in the world for the sixth year in a row, after it recently managed to advance three places.0

The study attributed the overall decline in global peace to factors including, increased terrorist activity, intensification of conflicts in the Middle East, and rising regional tensions in Eastern Europe and Northeast Asia.
