Meteorology center expects rise in temperature, rain in several provinces

SANAA, Jun. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Wednesday expected high temperatures in the desert and coastal areas, and rainfall of varying intensity in a number of provinces during the next 24 hours.

The center stated in its weather bulletin that the desert provinces will witness hot to very hot weather with temperatures ranging between 38-46 degrees Celsius.

The weather in the coastal provinces will be hot and humid, with temperatures ranging between 34-38 degrees Celsius.

The center indicated the possibility of rain of varying intensity, accompanied by thunder sometimes, on separate parts of the western highlands of the provinces of Lahij, Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, Mahweet, Hajjah, and Saada.

Light to medium rain is also likely to fall on parts of the western and southern coasts of the provinces of Hodeida, Taiz, Aden, Abyan Shabwa, Hadramout, and Mahra.

The center warned residents of desert and coastal areas of the hot weather and advised not to be exposed to direct sunlight during the afternoon.
