Russian soldier killed, 3 wounded in blast in Syria

SANAA, Jun. 09 (YPA) – A Russian soldier was killed and 3 others wounded on Wednesday in an explosion of a military vehicle in Syria.

According to Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the explosion hit the Russian military vehicle in Hasaka province, northeastern Syria, killing the solider and injuring the others.

The Observatory affirmed that the explosion that targeted the military vehicle after it crossed the village of Al-Asadiya, located on the dividing line between the positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian regime, and the positions of the Turkish forces and their loyal factions, in the northern countryside of Abu Rasin within Hasaka.

It indicated that Russian helicopters arrived in the airspace of the area to treat the remaining 3 wounded.
