Crimea intends to sue Ukraine over blockade

SANAA, March 27 (YPA) – Vladimir Konstantinov, head of the Crimean Regional Parliament, said on Saturday that the authorities of the republic intend to sue Ukraine, for imposing a blockade in the field of transport and infrastructure on the Russian peninsula.

On Friday, Konstantinov announced that the Crimean authorities intend to file a lawsuit with the local and then international courts, regarding the water blockade imposed by the Kiev authorities on the peninsula, and the size of the initial damage was estimated at 1.47 trillion rubles. She stated that, at the moment, the extent of the damage from the blockade imposed by Ukraine in the field of transport and energy is being determined.

Konstantinov added: “The international community must focus its attention on the Ukrainian authorities’ attempt to carry out a genocide in Crimea. It is time for the West to stop pretending not to see what is going on. ”

Konstantinov also did not rule out the possibility of filing a case against Ukraine, and its claim for compensation for the damage suffered by the infrastructure in Crimea, when it was in the strength of Ukraine.
