Coalition rejects request of Hadi forces to use Apache in Marib battles

SANAA, March 18 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition countries had rejected a request made by Hadi’s government forces to use Apache helicopters in the battles in Marib province and Jawf deserts, informed sources reported on Thursday.

The sources said that the Ministry of Defense of the “Hadi government” had submitted an official request to the coalition forces to use the Apache helicopters in the battles taking place north of the city of Marib.

The sources confirmed that the request was rejected by the commander of the coalition forces in Marib province.

The reason for the coalition forces’ refusal of the request is due to the qualitative development of Sanaa forces in the war industries, including air defenses that managed to shoot down many Apache helicopters, the last of which was the shooting down of a Saudi Apache helicopter on December 29, 2019, off Asir with a thermal missile.
