Israeli occupation escalates violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque, allowing settlers to hold wedding party in its courtyards
OCCUPIED QUDS, June 30 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation authorities allowed Zionist settlers to hold a wedding ceremony inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, in a new escalation of violations against Islamic holy sites, sparking widespread condemnation in Palestinian and Islamic circles.
Videos showed the settlers’ celebrations under heavy protection from the occupation police, who suppressed the worshippers and removed those stationed there to secure the event.
This comes amidst an escalation in Israeli violations in Al-Quds (Jerusalem), with daily incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and security interventions increasing, while allowing Talmudic rituals to be performed under police protection.
Palestinian bodies and resistance factions condemned this move, considering it a dangerous provocation that violates the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and could cause significant tension in the occupied city.
The Islamic Endowments Department in Al-Quds city called on the international community and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take urgent action to stop these violations, which seek to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque and change its status quo.
