UAE sends armed factions to Abayn

ABBYAN, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The UAE sent armed factions affiliated on Tuesday to take control of the areas in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, according to sources.

This step came after the UAE-backed Southern Transition Council (STC) militia decided to withdrew from a number of military sites in Abyan front.

The sources confirmed that al-Amaliqa factions, Giants, that did not include in the “Riyadh Agreement signed in early November 2019, moved towards Abyan to impose their control over those military sites.

Activists loyal to Islah on social media accused the UAE and Saudi Arabia of overthrowing the “Riyadh Agreement” by sending the “Giants Brigades”, to Abayn fronts.
