NMC warns from cold weather in various provinces

SANAA, Dec. 15 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center confirmed on Tuesday the continuing effect of the cold weather on mountainous provinces and parts of deserts and inland plateaus over the next 24 hours.

The center expected that very cold weather would continue in the mountainous heights, especially in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea provinces and high areas of Ibb, Taiz, Raymah, Hajjah, Mahweet, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout provinces.

The weather will be cold in the desert areas, especially in Marib, Jawf and Mahra provinces during the night and early morning hours.

The Center warned citizens of a sharp decline in the lowest temperatures, calling on the elderly, children, sick people and workers during the night and early morning hours to take the necessary precautions to prevent severe cold shocks.

The center also called on farmers, herders and beekeepers to protect their agricultural crops, livestock and beehives from the effects of extreme cold.
