Huge fire devours furniture fair in capital Sanaa

SANAA, Nov. 6 (YPA) – A massive fire broke out on Thursday night in a showroom for selling furniture and home furnishings on Taiz Street, near Shumaila Market in Al-Sabeen District of the capital Sanaa.

Director of Civil Defense Department in the Capital Sanaa, Colonel Mohammed Bahish, said that the civil defense teams rushed to put out the fire and prevent it from spreading to the neighboring shops and buildings.

He pointed out that the fire caused great material losses without causing any human casualties, calling for the necessity to provide the means of safety and security in all shops.
