Worldwide coronavirus cases exceed 38 million

SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The number of Coronavirus (COVID-10) cases in the world exceeded 38 million on Tuesday, according to the latest statistics.

 

According to Johns Hopkins University, the total global casualties reached “38,041,143” with a total of 1,848,888 deaths worldwide.

 

The United States recorded 7,850,829 cases and 215,775 deaths, both of which are the highest worldwide.

 

India ranked second in the world with 7,175,880 cases, with Brazil the third largest number of cases in the world with 5,103,408 cases and the second highest number of deaths with 150,689.

 

According to the statistics, the total number of cases in the first three countries combined represents more than half of the global cases.

 

Countries with more than 820,000 cases also include Russia, Colombia, Argentina, Spain, Peru and Mexico, while others that have recorded more than 36,000 deaths include India, Mexico, Britain and Italy, according to Johns Hopkins.
