ADEN, May 12 (YPA) – At least one recruiter was killed others were injured in an ambush by unidentified gunmen targeting a police patrol belonging to the Security belt forces in the central of Aden province, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.
Security sources said that a police patrol followed gunmen, who shot fires on the UAE-backed militia, and they chased the gunmen but they were targeted by an ambush near the neighborhood of Abdulqawi, killing one soldier (Mohammad Muawiya) and wounding two others.
The injured militias were taken to the nearby hospital, the official added.
On Wednesday, the imam of Al-Somal mosque, Safwan Abdulmouali al -Sharjabi was assassinated by unknown gunmen Al-Moaala district in Aden city.
Southern provinces are witnessing security chaos, spreading of armed groups and Al-Qaeda elements amid conflicts between the Saudi-UAE occupation militias.
