GAZA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 61,430, with 153,213 wounded.
The ministry’s daily statistical report indicated that hospitals in the Strip received 61 martyrs and 363 wounded in the past 24 hours. The report also indicated that the total number of “livelihood” victims (aid victims) who arrived at hospitals rose to 1,778 martyrs and more than 12,894 wounded, including 35 martyrs and 304 wounded in the past 24 hours.
The suffering continues in the Gaza Strip, as the Ministry of Health confirmed that many victims are still under the rubble and in the streets and that ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
Amid the worsening humanitarian situation, hospitals recorded five deaths, including two children, due to famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of deaths due to famine to 217, including 100 children.
According to the report, the death toll and injuries since March 18, 2025, when the Israeli occupation violated the truce, has reached 9,921 martyrs and 41,172 injured.
