Road Maintenance Fund’s general budget for 2020 approved
SANAA, April 29 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Affairs Dr. Hussein Maqbouli on Tuesday chaired a meeting in Sanaa to discuss the general budget of the Road Maintenance Fund for 2020 amounting to 12 billion riyals.
The meeting, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Local Administration Qassem Al-Hamran and Chairman of Board of Directors of the Road Maintenance Fund Nabil al-Haifi, approved the draft budget for spending on the maintenance of the internal road network for 2020.
The draft budget submitted by the Road Maintenance Fund included routine maintenance work for the asphalted and paved road network, including those within the jurisdiction of the local authorities in the provinces and districts.
In the meeting, Dr. Maqbouli stressed that the Road Maintenance Fund should play its pivotal role in promoting development and moving the wheel of the economy within the framework of the economic recovery phase 2020 of the national vision for building the modern Yemeni state.
